Responsibilities:
The quality assurance supervisor plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for manufacturing processes, materials and products. This position includes a combination of supervision and active participation in the tasks necessary to ensure that Aero Food/Packaging Inc. Manufactures safe and consistent products of the highest quality and that all products are in compliance with government specs and company standards.
1. Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
2. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
3. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
4. Maintains time and production records.
5. Directs workers in quality assurance inspection and testing, to assure that establishment and regulatory standards are met.
6. Helps in communicating product safety and quality standards to company personnel.
7. Works with suppliers regarding ingredients specifications and quality.
8. Helps in training, coaching, mentoring, empowering and developing team members. This includes coordinating team involvement activities to drive -continuous quality improvement- processes.
9. Follows up customer complaints and works together with management to reduce complaints.
